— Snag some bargains at Fairytale Threads Consignment event in Cedar Park. Find amazing clothes, toys and gently used gear for your kids. Open today from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
— Head Back to the Future at a special movie screening presented by Alamo Drafthouse and Mobile Loaves & Fishes. You can grab chairs and a blanket, at this free movie night at Community First! — Celebrate butterflies and caterpillars on Monarch Appreciation Day at Zilker Botanical Garden today from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This family-friendly event will include lots of crafts for kids as well as gardening tips, a plant sale, lectures and more! — Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at a police station? The Pflugerville Police Department invites you to visit from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for their Open House event where you’ll get to meet the officers and enjoy a fun learning experience for all ages.
— Enjoy a children’s music showcase at Central Market North Lamar at 10 a.m. Local children’s musicians are teaming up to present Front Door Concerts in which they seek sponsorships from HOAs and Neighborhood Associations, as well as local realtors, builders, small businesses, etc. to bring free concerts to families all over Austin. Learn more & enjoy the entertainment at this launch event.
— Watch several exciting dance performances from noon – 4 p.m. at Arts Kaleidoscope, a free event presented by Southwest Key Latino Arts Preservation Program and Children’s Promise, taking place at El Centro de Familia.There will also be food, arts and crafts.
— Calling all ice hockey fans… The Pond Hockey Club ice hockey training facility for kids and adults is more than doubling in size, and they are throwing a party celebrate! bring the family to the Grand Opening “Twice the Ice” Party from 2-5 p.m. for games, treats, giveaways, entertainment, and the inaugural Adult Tournament on the new ice. — Join the Volunteer Fire Department in Spicewood, TX at their big annual fundraiser, the 25th Annual Destruction Derby. The gates at the Spicewood Fire Hall will open at 4 p.m. and races will start at 6 p.m. Get ready for some smash & crash excitement! Admission is $10 per adult, $5 per child ages 12 & under.
