Nothing gets us as excited about fall fun as visit to Barton Hill Farms! Coming up is the final weekend to enjoy a fun-filled visit to the sprawling Barton Hill Farms for a carefree day full of games, music, pumpkins, hayrides, a corn maze and great times with the family! Read on for all the details about the awesome activities at this farm, and take note that admission has been selling out — so be sure to reserve your tickets online in advance!
Just a short drive to Bastrop, this picturesque farmland is set among 100-year-old cottonwood trees, rolling grassy hills and views of the Colorado River. But beyond the pretty countryside allure, Barton Hill Farms is one of our top picks for the season because it includes loads of activities for all ages — even parents and grandparents — all in one place.
The farm is open through Nov. 6, 2022. Visit on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sundays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Ultimate Fall Day Trip: At Barton Hill Farms, you and the kids will love navigating the big corn maze or picking out a pumpkin — but there’s so much more to see and do. You’ll want to make a day of it! Barton Hill Farms offers 100 acres of room to spread out and play.
Kids will enjoy bouncing on the jumbo jumping pillow, climbing around the Texas-sized Tree Fort, riding the Bee Train and the Texas Hayride Trail to see some farm animals such as llamas, goats and pigs. Plus there’s face painting, apple cannons, and archery, too. Of course, before you head home you’ll need to explore the pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin.
You can listen to live music daily and catch a variety of awesome family-friendly live entertainment. Plus, there are many food & drinks offered onsite, including the Barton Hugel Apfelwein & Biergartenan that’s a perfect stop for parents wishing to relax with a cold local beer or cider.
Alright, Alright, Alright: Check out the 2022 Corn Maze: If you’ve been out to Barton Hill Farms before, you might already know that one of the highlights of the fall season is their awesome 3.5 acre corn maze with a fun new theme each year. This year, the farmers are giving a shout out to local celeb, Matthew McConaughey, an Austin icon and an all-around great dude. Navigate 5-acres of paths through imagery of McConaughey’s infamous character from 1993’s Dazed and Confused.
