Festival Beach Food Forest Launch Party

Have you heard about Austin’s Festival Beach Food Forest? On August 28, 2014, the city council unanimously approved the creation of this fence-free garden on 2 acres of park land, where all are welcome to learn about food forestry and experience the beauty of an edible oasis in the heart of Austin.

In celebration of the groundbreaking of Festival Beach, everyone’s invited to a big kick-off benefit party at YardFarm on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 4-10 p.m. This family-friendly event includes a great line-up of music, a Pie Walk, plant-inspired activities, presentations by local leaders and a silent auction.
