Want to do something fun and active with the family this Thanksgiving? Before you settle in for that giant feast, get your bodies moving at the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot at the Long Center on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 26. Sign up for either a 5-mile or 1-mile run/walk, and let the children get in on the fun with the Kids K.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot. It’s the largest five-mile run in Texas, and one of the largest Turkey Trots in the nation with more than 20,000 participants. It’s definitely a cherished Thanksgiving Day tradition in Austin.
ThunderCloud has raised nearly $2.5 million for Caritas of Austin through the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot. 100 percent of the proceeds of the event are donated to Caritas, which fights poverty, hunger and homelessness.

If you sign up by Nov. 21, the registration fee is $25 for the 5-mile, $20 for the 1-mile, and only $8 for the Kids K. Prices increase on Sunday, Nov. 22 to $30 for the 5-mile, $25 for the 1-mile, and $10 for the Kids K. Register online here.
