— Sun City Farmers Market
Tuesday, August 11, 9 a.m. – noon at Georgetown Farmers Market Association
Come out to the Sun City Social Center and meet the farmers who grow your food! They are a growers market consisting of 50+ members that grow and sell their produce and products, all located from within eleven counties surrounding Williamson County.
— Little Yoga
Thursday, August 13, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Lake Travis Community Library
This class is for ages 3 to 6. Experience exercise in a quiet, calming environment.
— Health, Safety, and Education
Saturday, August 15, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Holy Word Church (near the corner of I-35 & Braker Lane)
The 2nd Annual North Austin Health, Safety & Education Fair includes free healthy-choice refreshments while attendees receive health checks: eye exams, hearing tests, blood glucose checks and physical fitness demonstrations. Explore a fire truck and police car while visiting with local safety officers. Receive free school supplies at the family resource table. Give blood on board the Texas Blood and Tissue Center Bloodmobile.
— Family Fiesta for National Health Center Week
Saturday, August 15, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Southeast Health and Wellness Center
This FREE Family Fiesta will include sports physicals for back to school, healthy food, carnival games, giveaways, music, and more.
— AISD Back-to-School Bash & Safety Fair
Saturday, August 15, 9 a.m.–noon at the Palmer Events Center
More than 130 community and district organizations will offer free exhibits for AISD families to learn more about the services and programs that can help students enjoy a safe and successful school year. Nurses from Dell Children’s/AISD Health Services will provide free vaccinations (must present their shot records) and Kids Vision for Life Central Texas may be providing free vision exams and eyeglasses
