The runs are a fun and free casual 3 to 5 mile distance. If you are looking for extra motivation, camaraderie with other runners, or just want to learn some new routes through scenic parts of our city, our social running groups are a great fit. Social group runs are free and all levels of running & fitness are encouraged to join. Refreshments are provided.

Have you wanted to try camping but don’t know how to get started? Join REI to learn what you need to take your first (or second or third) camping trip. They will cover the basics including: how to be warm, dry and comfortable camping, gear and equipment necessities, ideas for fun activities; and great local areas to give it a try.

Leave your lunch at home and come mix it up with Simon Kidgits as kids learn how to stir, simmer, bake, and decorate their way to good nutrition (with a healthy helping of yummy treats, of course). Stop by registration for your free chef hat & apron and make your away around the common area to each of the sponsors. Sponsors will have everything from snacks to finger food to arts and crafts and much more. Adults accompanying children receive snacks/drinks free. Free for Simon Kidgits members, only $5 annual membership to become a member. (The $5 membership comes a T-shirt, tons of coupons and discounts, a birthday gift and more).

Sundays from 7:30 – 10 p.m. at Social Cycling Austin
(in the Open Room at the intersection of Sandra Muraida and W. 2nd St., at the big white table)
Grab your bike and a friend, and ride bikes around Austin and briefly view art in public places. They typically ride about 10-15 miles and there are a few hills to challenge you.
