8th Annual Brentwood Rocks Family Concert

Austin kids sure know how to rock! It seems like it must be in their DNA, right? On Saturday, April 16, you can bring your little rockers to Brentwood Elementary School for a the 8th Annual Brentwood Rocks — a community family event where kids and parents can dance and celebrate Austin’s vibrant live music scene.

From 3-6 p.m., you can head to the outdoor stage for a community concert from Austin’s favorite soul band, The Nightowls. Plus, you’ll hear a David Bowie tribute set from the very talented kids at Austin’s School of Rock. The event will be hosted by Taylor Ellison of KEYE TV’s morning show, We Are Austin.brentwoodrocks_poster_web400w

Kids can also have fun with with free rock star hairdos, tattoos, face painting and a photo booth. Feel free to bring a picnic, but food will be also be available for purchase from Top Notch Hamburgers and the Good Times Ice Cream.

  • 3:30-4:30 p.m. – School of Rock
  • 4:45-5:45 p.m. – The Nightowls

Admission: Kids (ages 18 & under) are FREE to attend. Adults can purchase a $10 wristband at the gate. All proceeds benefit the students of Brentwood Elementary School.
