20th Annual Austin Celtic Festival

Celebrate the cultures of Ireland and Scotland at the annual Austin Celtic Festival at Fiesta Gardens on Saturday, Nov. 5 and Sunday, Nov. 6. from noon – 7:30 p.m. With traditional music and dance, storytelling, animals, workshops and a full Highland Games competition, there is plenty of fun for the whole family.

Music: The Austin Celtic Festival is proud to host some of the world’s leading Celtic artists from international artists direct from Ireland and Scotland to regional Celtic musicians.  A full lineup of bands and their bios can be found here.

Dancing: You’ll also enjoy watching many forms or traditional Celtic dancing including the Hill Country Highland Dancers, the Austin Scottish Dance Society, and Austin’s Irish dance team the Inishfree Austin. Dance workshops will also be held throughout the festival and are free for all ages.  Click here for more information and schedules.

Workshops: In addition to the dance workshops, other workshops are available such as beginning Irish guitar, The Irish in the American Revolution lecture, Beginning Gaelic language, a Macallan Scotch tasting and many more.  Some workshops cost an additional fee, but you can click here for more details.

Animals: Kids will love seeing animal such as Celtic dog breeds and miniature horses.

Shopping, Food & Drink: Browse over 50 Celtic crafts and artisan merchants along with food vendors and beverage booths serving international draft beers like Guinness, Harp and Smithwicks.

More Entertainment: During the fest, you can see full competition Highland Games both days, Viking Invasion combat demos, a Celtic campsite from the Texas Coritani and Greenwoode Archery.  Visit the website for Saturday and Sunday schedules.

Tickets: Tickets will not be sold at the gate, so be sure to purchase them in advance online here. Kids ages 12 and under are free! A weekend pass is $25 or you can purchase Saturday or Sunday-only tickets for $15. Take note that for every one $25 donation you make to the Austin Celtic Association now through November 4th, you will receive one free adult weekend pass into the Festival good for both Saturday and Sunday.
