Barton Springs University is an annual event that features lectures, hands-on learning activities, snorkeling tours and live music. The event is free, and pool entry will be free until 2 p.m.! Tickets range in price from $14 – 20, however, you can no longer order tickets online. — Google Fiber invites your whole family to give coding a try at the Ruiz Branch of the Austin Public Library today from 1-4 p.m.! This free Made with Code event offers kid-friendly coding and virtual reality activities, including basic projects such as working with animated figures and mixing music.
— Learn how to make a stop-motion animation of a robot destroying Austin! You can attend this free animation workshop (presented by Eric Power and The Austin School of Film) during the Austin Music Video Festival at 12 p.m. at The North Door.
— Going to the Longhorns football game this Saturday? Ticket holders can attend the Texas Football Fan Fest at 2:30 p.m. in the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Beginning four hours before kickoff, families can enjoy interactive games, live music from School of Rock, and food from local vendors like Austin’s Pizza, Torchy’s Tacos and Pluckers.
