Today:
— Celebrate the mom of all moms, Mother Earth, at the 13th Annual Mother Earth Day Festival at the Springs. Stop by Zilker Park, in the area by Barton Springs, from 9 am – 1 pm for eco-activities, live music, magic, interactive booths, games, art and other learning fun! FREE!
— See Round Rock Express vs. Omaha Storm Chasers at Dell Diamond. Game starts at 7:05 pm but you can pre-game in the Kid’s Fun Zone! Tickets to the game are anywhere from $7 – $16 and you can buy them here.
— Watch Frozen at Elizabeth Milburn Park at 8 pm. Bring blankets and lawn chairs, concessions will not be available so bring a picnic, but, no glass containers. Free!
Tomorrow:
— Celebrate Latino culture at Pachanga Fest, happening at Fiesta Gardens from noon – 11 pm. Kids will have plenty to do at the Niños Rock Pachanga mini-fest within the fest. They’ll have fun with their own line-up, face painting, a piñata party, screen printing, crafts & more. Tickets are $33 for general admission + $42 if you’d like to upgrade to a Very Important Taco pass, which includes tacos and other perks. You can buy tickets here. Kids under 12 get in free!
— Mueller’s 10th Birthday Party at Mueller Lake Park Outdoor Amphitheater is a free celebration from 10 am – 1 pm with giant lawn games, human hamster balls, free birthday cake, free snow cones, food trucks and more! You could even win a tethered hot air balloon ride, find out how here.
— See the latest production from the Pollyanna Theatre Company, Plus and Minus: The Vacation Adventure, playing at the Rollins Theatre (at the Long Center) with showtimes at 2 & 4 pm. Tickets are $9 – $12.50 and you can buy them here.
— The Beginner Coding Workshop from Hatch After School will be a 90-minute workshop for ages 10 and up (sorry, no grownups) from 1:30 – 3 pm at MakerSquare. Your little gamers and web site designer wanna-be’s will get a nice intro to the world of coding and web language. Free, but registration is appreciated.
Sunday:
— Happy Mother’s Day! Here’s what’s going on.
— See some Live Music Under the Lone Star at the Bullock Texas State History Museum with performances from Staehely Brothers Band and Casual Interference. Free concert, bring chairs and a picnic, starts at 6 pm.
— See Pinocchio at the ZACH Theatre at 2:30 pm and celebrate the fact that you have real kids. This imaginative retelling uses shadow and puppetry combined with interesting props to make this classic come to life. Tickets are $14 – $16 and you can buy them here.
