Do your children love animals? Have they ever expressed an interest in becoming a vet or volunteering at an animal shelter? The Austin Humane Society invites families into the AHS animal shelter to learn how to be animal advocates through interactive play-based learning. Presented by H-E-B, an all-time favorite event at AHS is Teddy Bear Surgery. This is a unique opportunity for children to interact with the Austin Humane Society staff and step inside a real animal shelter clinic. Kids are invited to bring their own stuffed animal in need of a little love and care, and the shelter team will diagnose their buddy and patch them up. Everyone will be feeling better in no time!
While it’s free to participate, you must click here to register to attend. Registration fills up very fast!
