Tonight, July 10, the Round Rock Express will take on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and celebrate Christmas in July at Dell Diamond! Game starts at 7:05 pm but the gates open at 5:30 pm and Christmas-themed will ensue!
Watch “Lilo & Stitch” for the Movies at the Pool event at the El Salido Pool in the Anderson Mill Limited District on Friday, July 11. Food trucks will be on site from 6 – 8 pm and the movie will start at dusk.
The Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum will celebrate what would have been Charles Umlauf’s 103rd Birthday for its Free Family Day on Sunday, July 13 from 12 – 4 pm. Families can enjoy free admission and activities that are just for them from 12 – 4 pm.
Second Saturdays are for families at Laguna Gloria! Join the museum for Ice Cube Art this Saturday, July 12 from 11 am – 3 pm.
Toybrary Austin is celebrating their first year of business with an awesome, FREE Birthday Party on Sunday, July 13 from 2 – 4 pm. Celebrate with face painters, stilt walkers, party favors, cake and balloons, plus special music performances and activities.

If you’re looking for a camp where your kids can get rowdy (but safe) in the great outdoors, then you need to check out the Expedition School. Located in East Austin next to Fiesta Gardens, the camp not only provides the opportunity for kids to kayak, canoe and SUP, but kids will also learn important lessons like how to protect the environment, along with safety instruction and medical training like CPR and basic first aid.
Zilker Theatre Productions present its 56th Annual Zilker Summer Musical – Oklahoma! Catch it this Friday, July 11 at 8:30 pm at the Zilker Hillside Theater for free (though donations are greatly appreciated)! The production will then run through the weekend and continue every Thursday – Sunday evening until Saturday, Aug. 16.
The only thing cuter than cats are little elementary school kids reading to cats. The sauce on top of all that awesome is the kids’ exposure to the no-kill shalter environment and their chance to do some meaningful summer reading at the Town Lake Animal Center’s Feline Leukemia Cat Sanctuary.
