Bear Cub Birthday Party at Austin Zoo – & Ticket Giveaway

You’re invited to the cutest birthday party in town! On Saturday, Jan. 17 the Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary is hosting a 1st Birthday Party for the Bear Cubs. Black bear cubs Korben, Tilly and Ruby are turning one year old, and the public is welcome to the Zoo for a celebration at 1 p.m.

Zookeepers will demonstrate target training with the cubs. The Zoo will also do a special dedication of the Bears and Butterflies mural by Artist Debra Wilson. Refreshments will be served. This party will be free with regular paid Zoo admission. You can RSVP on Facebook if you’re planning to attend the party.

— Zoo Admission:
(The birthday party event is free with paid admission.)

  • Ages 13 and up -> $9
  • Student, Military w/ ID, & Senior 60+ -> $8
  • Child 2 – 12 -> $6
  • Members and infants less than 2 years -> Free

— Want to ride the train while you’re there? The train costs $2.50 per ride. Rides run at the top of every hour, are 20 minutes long and consist of a scenic ride through hill country where you can observe emus, alpacas, longhorns and other animals.

— Winter Hours at the Zoo: Through January 31, the Austin Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (No entry after 4:30pm)
