Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade

On Saturday, Nov. 29 you can enjoy the sights and sounds of one of Austin’s most popular holiday family events! Join the community downtown at the 25th Annual Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade benefiting Operation Blue Santa. The parade begins at 11 a.m. by the Texas State Capitol at 11th & Congress Avenue and moves south along Congress Avenue toward the bridge. Enjoy marching bands, giant inflatable balloons, classic cars, costumed characters, dancers and festive floats.

The parade is a free event and open to the public. Everyone who attends the parade is asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be collected for the Austin Police Department’s Operation Blue Santa, which provides holiday meals for families in need as well as toys children up to the age of 14. At designated times during the parade, volunteers will alert the crowd when it is time to drop toys into trucks along the parade route.
