— Curious about Chuy’s love of Elvis?

Here’s the story from The Austin Business Journal: “Founders Mike Young and John Zapp spent all their money opening the original Chuy’s on Barton Springs Road, and they had nothing left to decorate the restaurant with. They used their last few dollars to buy two velvet paintings, one of Elvis Presley and one of Stevie Wonder. Customers started bringing in their own Elvis memorabilia, creating the original Elvis shrine. Along with its customers, Chuy’s embraced Elvis and made him the restaurant’s patron saint.”

Dust off your blue suede shoes and have a rockin’ time!
