Community Art Sunday – Free Family Fun

Enjoy a Sunday Funday with the kids at Community Art Sunday at the Center for Creative Action on Sunday, Jan. 17 from 2-5 p.m. This free event celebrates community through dance, music, creativity, food, and the arts!  Hear music from the local indie pop group Charlie Belle and try a stamp & stencil making workshop. And you’ll be treated to free beverages (adult and kid-friendly) and an H-E-B healthy snack bar!

This month’s theme is “Creative Communities in Action” and we will feature organizations that make a positive difference in our community, including Austin Area Urban League, Sustainable Food Center, and Literacy Coalition. Here’s what you can expect:

• A live closeout performance from indie-pop wunderkinds Charlie Belle.
• DJ King Louie on the decks
• Bite Size and Beat Drops youth hip-hop dance crews
• Alamo Drafthouse gift package raffle
• Stamp making & stenciling workshop
• Martin Luther King Jr. tribute area
• Face painting, dance & play tent

Complimentary snacks and beverages are provided by H-E-B, KIND Snacks, and Chameleon Cold Brew.
