It’s time to go shopping for big hats, mamas! The Kentucky Derby is coming up on Saturday, May 6th, and Austin is celebrating in the best way — with a music festival! The 3rd Annual Derby in the City Music Festival will be held in the Austin American-Statesman parking lot on May 6 from 1:30 – 9 p.m. In addition to the horse race being featured on a large jumbotron, there’s a great lineup of music, food trucks, beverages and more. Plus, kids are welcome along, and even free for children under 10 years old.

- The Watters — 2 – 2:35 p.m.
- Los Coast — 2:55 – 3:35 p.m.
- Sweet Spirit — 4:15 – 5:15 p.m.
- Kentucky Derby Coverage — 5:15 – 5:45 p.m.
- Black Pistol Fire — 5:45 – 6:50 p.m.
- Citizen Cope — 7:15 – 8:45 p.m.
— Tickets: General admission Early Bird tickets are on sale now for $31.50. Kids under 10 are free. Day-of tickets will be $45. VIP tickets are $100 and include food, complimentary massages, shady areas and upgraded restrooms. You can click here to purchase your tickets online.
