Ahhh yes, it’s that time of year again. Fall is here, and it’s time to start going crazy for all things pumpkin. From classic pie to not-so-classic pumpkin margaritas, we’re pumped to present you with a list dedicated all things deliciously pumpkin.
–> Pumpkin Cupcakes: Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop has a fabulous lineup of tasty treats each week with one of their fan favorites being the Caramel Pumpkin: a Pumpkin cupcake with caramel cream cheese buttercream and drizzled caramel sauce.
–> Pumpkin Pancakes and French Toast: Ahh yes, Kerbey Lane’s famous Pumpkin menu has returned to celebrate fall. Avid pumpkin lovers will have to choose between the giant pumpkin pancakes or the decadent pumpkin bread French toast. Don’t skip dessert, Kerbey also pumpkin mousse pie complete with a chocolate crumb crust.
–> Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream: Mmmm… Amy’s Ice Creams. Besides regular old Pumpkin they have Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Custard, Pumpkin Pie, and a delicious Pumpkin Praline Pie. Add some graham cracker toppings and you are in for a holy pumpkin experience.
–> All the pumpkin things at Trader Joe’s: While many Austinites squawked over the arrival of the California super chain, we now rejoice over the abundant bounty of all things pumpkin-flavored that Trader Joe’s offers every fall. Favorites include: pumpkin bread pudding, pumpkin pancake and muffin mix (with GF free options of course), pumpkin body butter, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin stuffed ravioli — and of course where would we be without pumpkin flavored tortilla chips?
–> Pumpkin tea bread and pie: Of course we couldn’t create a list of pumpkin without adding Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery. Proudly carrying pumpkin pie all year round to appease your pumpkin cravings, they also carry a limited edition pumpkin tea bread perfect for these chilly mornings.
–> Pumpkin Spice Latte: The OG of all things pumpkin spice, you can get your own tall piping hot cup of sweet espresso, steamed milk, “pumpkin” sauce, and whipped cream at any participating Starbucks in the Austin area.
–> Pumpkin spice margarita: Yep, you read that right, there is even a pumpkin spice margarita. TNT Tacos and Tequila currently has a specialty margarita just for pumpkin fans, tequila is blended with their top secret pumpkin spice margarita mix created in house.
–> Pumpkin Beers: With hundreds of beers on tap lining the walls and counters you are sure to find some seasonal favorites including pumpkin ales at the Flying Saucer. This season they have: Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin, Karbach Krumpin’ Pumpkin, Shipyard Pumpkinhead as well as a Pumpkin Shandy.
–> So many things pumpkin: Our very own H-E-B is the best place to get all things pumpkin. Check out their bakery where pumpkin cheesecake or pumpkin empanadas are ready to go or the truly curious can wander the aisles hoping to find the likes of Pumpkin Pringles, Glade’s Pumpkin Pit Stop spray, or Welchs Sparkling Cocktail Mix in Pumpkin Spice. Even pup can get in on the fun with specialty pumpkin dog treats!
