A Rock Show For Kids at the Fader Fort during SXSW

MyMusicRx® YOU WHO Present A Rock Show For Kids, Thursday, Mar. 13 from 10 am – noon at The Fader Fort.  This morning Rock Show for Kids will benefit MyMusicRx, the only “kid-prescribed” in-hospital and online music medicine program in the nation. One hundred percent of proceeds will help fund MyMusicRx’s bedside and online programs that deliver the healing power of music to seriously ill kids and teens.

This event will not only have amazing live music that parents and kids can actually groove to, but there will be crafts, food and all kinds of cool swag available depending which admission tickets you buy. Advance tickets are $20/adults or $25/day of show. Kids 10 and under are FREE. All tickets include a pre-show kid’s craft zone. A VIP family-of-four-pack is also available for $100 and includes complementary breakfast, MyMusicRx YOU WHO concert t-shirts, and special swag bag filled with sponsor gifts, including SOL Republic headphones. Advance tickets are highly recommended as last year’s show SOLD OUT. Tickets are available online here.

The Fader Fort is an outdoor venue located at 1101 E 5th (San Marcos & Waller) Austin, TX 78702. Limited parking is available on 5th, blankets and festival chairs are welcome.
Bands slated to perform include Typhoon, Aloe Blacc, Les Claypool, The Bots, Peelander Z, Arc Iris, and Youngblood Brass Band with surprise guests to be announced. Follow the links or see our event listing for audio and video samples of the bands.
Trust us, not only will parents get to be one of the cool kids, your kids will leave the event cooler than ever, with at least one SXSW under their belt, which, let’s face it, we all want bragging rights to, so why not start em early?
Enjoy!
