A day of camp at-a-glance: Each day during any of these camps, kiddos will learn magic, juggling, puppetry and other variety arts. They’ll also attend a live magic show by some of Austin’s best professional magicians.

In the magic class, campers learn basic magic skills and secrets and experience the joy that comes from a trick well performed.

In juggling class, campers learn balancing, plate spinning, and juggling with props like scarves, balls, boxes and rings. After mastering those tricks, they’ll get to try their hand at juggling sticks and the Diablo (a type of Chinese yo-yo). Toward the end of each session, they also get a chance to work with unicycles.

Campers are often reminded about the character traits that make a good magician (coincidentally, they are also the traits that make a great human being). Campers learn the benefits of practice but also learn that it is OK to fail until you get it right.
