Your whole family can take part in the FARE Food Allergy Heroes Walk on Sunday, October 29 at 2 p.m. O’Henry Middle School. This annual event brings together people who are seeking a safer world for the 15 million Americans living with food allergies. In addition to the walk, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities.
Whether you have a loved one with life-threatening allergies, or know someone who does, food allergies are showing up more and more in our communities. One in thirteen children has a food allergy, which translates to two in every classroom. At the Walk, funds are raised to help FARE’s mission, which is to improve the quality of life and the health of individuals with food allergies, and provide them hope through the promise of new treatments. You can read about some of the research being done here.
Register online today as an individual or start a team and invite your friends, family and co-workers to help say FAREwell to food allergies! There is no fee required to participate as an individual walker. But your donations will be greatly appreciated!
