Do512 Family - What to do in Austin with Kids

Farmgrass Festival 2015

Farming is some seriously hard work. It takes a certain dedication and skill to be able to devote your life to farming, and we’re so thankful for the Texans who work hard to bring us fresh veggies and fruits to our favorite markets and restaurants. If these fine folks should ever get sick or hurt, it can be a struggle to maintain their livelihoods. And because of that, Farmgrass Fest is here to help. Farmgrass is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping our local farmers when they have medical emergencies.

In true Austin style, Farmgress is raising funds in the most fun way! On Sunday, May 3 from 1-9:30 p.m., everyone is invited to gather at Simmons Family Farms to eat, sing, hoot and holler while enjoying a terrific lineup of bluegrass bands. All the proceeds from the festival will go to the emergency medical fund for farmers in central Texas.
