Got the day off of work on Friday, July 3? Want to get an early start to your Independence Day celebration? Well, you’re in luck! There are several 4th of July-related events happening a day early.

Festive Fun on July 3:

Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival @ Lake Pflugerville, 3-11 p.m.
The annual outdoor Pfirecracker Pfestival celebrates Independence Day with a day of PFUN at Lake Pflugerville. The event features two live music stages, a children’s area on both the north and south shores of the lake, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors and businesses. Click here for the full lineup & details. Please take note that the lake is closed Thursday, July 2 to allow for setup for the pfestival, and it reopens on Friday, July 3 at noon. The Lake will be open on July 4 for recreational use.

Enjoy the 24th Annual Patriotic Festival! This family friendly event to celebrate our Nation’s Independence includes vendor’s booths and children’s activities at Fisherman’s Park. Austin’s Symphonic Band will be in attendance and conclude with Fireworks at dusk. Click here for more info.

Fireworks @ The Quarries Church, dusk
Hyde Park Baptist Church hosts a beautiful fireworks show to celebrate our independence at the Quarries on Friday, July 3. Fireworks start at sundown.

Movies Under the Stars: Independence Day @ Metz Recreation Center, dusk
Bring a blanket, a picnic and enjoy a free movie outdoors at the rec center.

pioneerfarmsStar-Spangled Independence Day Festival @ Pioneer Farms, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
On both Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 you can enjoy hayrides & horse-drawn wagon rides and a colorful display of independence flags. General admission is $8 for visitors ages 13 and over, and $6 for children ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free.

Fourth of July Weekend Special @ Austin’s Park N Pizza
Austin’s Park N Pizza has a special offer from July 3-5. For $17.76, you can get a Full Park Pass (Reg $25.95) This pass gives you unlimited fun and for guests 44 inches or taller. Click here for more info.

Red, White & Blue BBQ with Guy Forsyth @ Omni Barton Creek Resort, 6-9:30 p.m.
Enjoy a patriotic celebration featuring Texas’ finest Oak Smoked BBQ and more with live entertainment from Guy Forsyth. Relax and take in the views of the Texas Hill Country with a spectacular fireworks display on the lawn at 9:15 p.m. $42.95 per adult, $18.95 for children ages 6 – 12 (plus tax and service charge), complimentary for children 5 and under. This North Austin toy store will be demonstrating their entire line of sparklers, smoke bombs, confetti blasters and more. You can join their staff in front of the store from noon – 4 p.m. for demos. They’ll also be providing lemonade and refreshments from their brand-new espresso bar, The Wind-Up. Click here for more info.

Summerfest @ Brushy Creek Community Center, 6-8:30 p.m.
