Sunday, July 27, enjoy free admission from 9 am – 5 pm as the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center celebrates Tribute Day in recognition of their founder, Lady Bird Johnson.
Special programs for the whole family:
- Explore the gardens.
- Bring your camera to take a photo with a life-sized likeness of the Center’s founder.
- Go behind the scenes to see the Center’s hidden treasures during an interior guided tour.
- Enjoy Storytime in the Little House.
- Visit The Store and obtain signed copies of Lady Bird Johnson, Deeds Not Words and Lady Bird Johnson: An Oral History.
- A one-day only silent auction will be held of books from Lady Bird Johnson’s library on display in the Visitors Gallery. All proceeds benefit the Wildflower Center. Bids can be placed until 5 pm, with the highest bidder for each contacted after Tribute Day. To see a list of the books that will be auctioned, click here.
There will also be a special exhibit of Mrs. Johnson memorabilia indoors at the Visitors Gallery and will include mementos, clothing and photo albums.
