Free Concerts this Week

Summer is just around the bend, but it looks like the free concerts are starting a week or two before school lets out. That’s OK, your kids didn’t have homework anyways. Check out these Free Concerts this Week.

* Note: Since a lot of these are outdoors, you should check with the venue, or the event’s Facebook page or website to see if anything has changed, or will change, due to the rain.

Wednesday, May 28

BLUES ON THE GREEN IS HERE! The first installment of Austin’s favorite outdoor, free concert will feature Saints of Valory and The Wind & the Wave. Concert is at Zilker Park and starts at 7:30 pm. For more info, go here. *UPDATE – This has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 4 because of the rain.

Thursday, May 29

— Ft. Worth’s Quaker City Night Hawks will play at Shady Grove as part of the KGSR Unplugged at the Grove series. Concert is free and starts at 8 pm. For parking info and all of that jazz, click here.

Friday, May 30

— The Flying Balalaika Brothers will play at Central Market South from 6:30 – 9 pm.

The Que Pastas will perform a free kid’s show at Millie & Mox at 10 am.

Saturday, May 31

— The Saturday Night Concert Series at the Hill Country Galleria continues with Guy Forsyth performing at 7 pm. Bring a blanket, family and friends and chill on the lawn at the outdoor amphitheater.

— Mr. Pancake will have a Free Kids Show at Strange Brew at 10 am, doors at 9:30 am.

Sunday, June 1

— The Austin Symphony Orchestra Concerts in the Park are back! This Sunday you can see a Woodwinds performance at 7:30 pm. Grab a spot on the lawn of the Long Center and enjoy.

The Que Pastas will perform a Free Kids Show at Cherrywood Coffeehouse at 10 am.
