Free Family Rock Climbing Adventures

You and the kids can sign up for free Rock Climbing Adventures this fall at Metz Recreation Center! On Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. you can join a professionally certified rock climbing instructor as she guides your family at various outdoor locations around Austin. Children must ages 8 and up to participate, and RSVP is required by calling 512-478-8716.

Hosted by Metz Recreation Center and the city of Austin Parks and Recreation Department, this will provide your family with a team-building opportunity like no other. The program is FREE and all gear is provided, except climbing shoes. RSVP by calling 512-478-8716.

  1. Just verifying the age is 8 and up. My son is 5 and loves to climb and was thinking of getting him into some rock climbing. But perhaps it will be better for him to wait. Just checking. Thanks, Heather

    • Hi Heather, the info from the Rec Center does note that the kids need to be at least 8 years old. If you want to call and ask you can reach them at 512-478-8716.
