Free Movies in the Park this Spring

Perfect springtime weather begs us to be outdoors as much as we possibly can, and for another year, Austin Parks Foundation invites us to spend some of these lovely spring nights under the stars during their series of free movie nights! Mark your calendars and plan your picnics for Movies in the Park — free films in parks all over Austin, brought to you in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse and presented by Lyft. What a fun way to spend an evening with the family!

Coming up: The first movie in this series is The Sandlot! Bring your family and friends out to Northwest District Park on Thursday, March 10 where the film will start at 7 p.m. (Rain Date: April 14). In The Sandlot, a new kid in town is taken under the wing of a young baseball prodigy and his team. Together, they get themselves into many adventures involving rival teams, lifeguards, and a vicious dog.
