UPDATE: Due to continuing rain, this Touch A Truck event scheduled for Saturday, October 24 has been cancelled.
On Saturday, October 24, kids can climb aboard a fire truck, big rig or bulldozer at a free Touch A Truck event in Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park from 9 a.m. – noon. Touch A Truck provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types – public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, delivery – all in one place. There will also be a Kids Fun Zone with various activities for all ages.
Those young and young at heart will be allowed to touch, climb on and ask questions about their favorite trucks in a safe, supervised environment. Accompanying personnel will teach the children about the equipment displayed and how these machines help us and our community.
There will be a “no horn hour” for those with sensitive ears or who do not respond well to loud noises from 1 to 2 p.m.
The event is FREE and no registration is required, but guests are encouraged to bring a canned food item donation to donate to the Round Rock Serving Center.
The event will be held near the Old Settlers Park-East Entrance, 700 N. Redbud Lane (TC Oatts and Redbud Lane).
In the case of inclement weather, please call 512-671-2898. For more information, you can visit the City of Round Rock’s website.
Have fun!
