On Sunday, Jan. 24, you can join the fun at a free Screen Printing Workshop at the Mexic-Arte Museum from 1-4 p.m. In addition to taking advantage of free admission on Sundays, visitors will have the chance to screen print an image designed by Tony Perez, of local screen printing studio Ramona Press.
Participants will create their own screen printed posters inspired by techniques found in the Obra Gráfica: Selections from the Print Collection exhibition, which is currently on display. This exhibit highlights the Museum’s growing contemporary print collection with works by Latina/o and Latin American artists, including new works by Alejandra Almuelle and Michael Menchaca.
The screen printing event is open to participants of all ages. Admission and materials are provided free of charge. For more info, please visit the Mexic-Arte Museum website.
Enjoy!
