Girls and boys of all ages are invited to explore astronomy in the GirlStart STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium. GirlStart is hosting their next free Starry Nights event on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. featuring ancient Chinese presentation and plenty of hands-on activities.
This event — featuring star shows and hands-on activities — is completely FREE but registration is requested. RSVP here. All ages are welcome.
February’s Starry Night will include:
- Engineer your own miniature yurt
- Design a flying Chinese dragonfly
- Explore white tiger genetics
- Discover how the ancient Chinese used four key constellations to identify direction
Additional activities and resources will be from the Austin Astronomical Society.
