Celebrate the Summer Solstice this Saturday, June 17 in Pan Am Park! Solstice Festival is back for the 4th year featuring a family-friendly day-long celebration of music, art and yoga in addition to many pre-show concerts for adults that are worth booking your favorite sitter for on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16.
On Saturday, Austin joins in with hundreds of cities around the world to celebrate Fête de la Musique – aka World Music Day. This summer Solstice Festival will host concerts at multiple venues in and around the Red River Entertainment District, as well as 10 hours of nonstop music on Saturday in Pan Am Park, opening at 11 a.m. and continuing through the evening. Saturday’s event includes art installations, yoga, great live music, local food and art vendors, a full stage of dance performances representing different cultures from around the world, meditation and mindful workshops — including a workshop from Breath For Change designed to help bring yoga and mindfulness into school classrooms.
