Sweeten your next visit to the newly reopened Austin Children’s Museum, The Thinkery, by participating in one of their Gingerbread Workshops at varying times on Saturday, Dec. 14 and daily Saturday, Dec. 21 – Tuesday, Dec. 23.
A LOT has changed about the children’s museum, but the gingerbread is still baked fresh at La Mexicana Bakery, a family-owned bakery in South Austin, as it has been since 1989! The Austin tradition of Gingerbread Workshops at The Thinkery is a great way for the whole family to enjoy creating together. After your workshop, stay and play to punctuate your day at The Thinkery! Many of the dates are almost sold out, so be sure to nab your spot ASAP!
The 1-hour workshops begin every 30 minutes during the hours listed on the dates below.
- Saturday, Dec. 14- 10 am – 3 pm
- Saturday, Dec. 21- 10 am – 3 pm
- Sunday, Dec. 22- 10 am – 3 pm
- Monday, Dec. 22- 10 am – 3 pm
- Tuesday, Dec. 23- 10 am – noon
Gingerbread house kits are $20 each. Admission is $8 per person ($4 per member). Pre-purchase tickets and register for your time slot online.
