Get ready for some extreme cuteness when costumed pups parade down South Congress. On Saturday, Apr. 4, you can take the family, including your furry family members, to Jo’s 16th Annual Lyndon Lambert Memorial Pet Parade and Costume Contest that benefits Austin Pets Alive. The Dead Music Capital Band will lead the parade full of pups starting at noon on the corner of Annie St. and South Congress and end at Jo’s Coffee. There will be lots of free activities for the whole family including a bouncy house, local vendors, the Easter Bunny, cotton candy and music from the Andrew Nafziger Trio.
Do you want your dog to participate? There are no rules, dress your pet up in something cool. The funkier the better! Prizes include a night at the Hotel San Jose, Jo’s gift certificates and cool doggie stuff. The costume contest is limited to 30 participants, so register early. The cost is $10. You can click here to sign up (last day to register is Friday, Apr. 3).
For more info, you can visit the event page on Facebook.
Have fun! We’ll see you there!
