On Saturday, May 2, everyone’s invited to Keep Austin Well, Austin’s annual community health and wellness fair on the grounds of the Long Center. This free event takes place from noon – 4 p.m. and is hosted by Austin MD Magazine. You’ll find fitness classes, music, food trucks, vendors, and fun for the kids with bounce houses and face painting. While you’re there, you can also meet some of Austin’s best health care providers, receive on site medical exams and screenings, watch healthy living demonstrations ranging from cooking to yoga on the terrace and much more!
Schedule of events:
- 12 p.m. – Welcome
- 12:15-12:35 p.m. – Intro to Mindfulness Meditation by Rebecca Webb, Founder of C SPARK WELLNESS
- 1-1:30 p.m. – Yoga on The Terrace with Michael Grey, Founder of Black Swan Yoga
- 1:45-2:15 p.m. – Keynote speaker from Central Health
- 2:30-3 p.m. – Groove with Melody DanceFit!
- 3:15 p.m. – Cooking demo by Joaquin Avellan, Founder of Dos Lunas Artisan Cheese
- 3:30-4 p.m. – Live Musical Performance by Ashley Monical
This is a FREE event that’s open to everyone. Even four-legged companions can attend. And there will be free parking in the Long Center garage.
