Liberty! Equality! and Fireworks! at the Long Center

Pollyanna Theatre Company presents a new family-friendly play exploring the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s. You can check out Liberty! Equality! and Fireworks! at the Long Center during weekend matinees October 11 -19.

Liberty! Equality! and Fireworks! tells the story of a group of 4th grade students in a history museum who get an up-close look into the past when iconic images from that the Civil Rights Movement come to life. Pollyanna partnered with the LBJ Library on the creation of educational materials for this production, which you can download here and read with your kids before or after the play.

This play is best for students in grades 3 – 6 and their families. Tickets are $8-10 and can be purchased online in advance here.

Schedule:

  • Saturday, Oct. 11 -> 2 p.m., 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 12 -> 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 18 -> 2 p.m., 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 19 -> 2 p.m.

Please note that due to Austin City Limits Music Festival, there are special instructions for parking on October 11 and 12. Click here for parking instructions.
