Listen to Your Mother is a nationwide series celebrating writers and their stories about motherhood. Thirty-two cities participate in this annual salute to motherhood. Austin will feature its local writers for two shows on Thursday, May 8 at 7 pm and Saturday, May 10 at 3 pm at the AT&T Conference Center on the UT campus. Tickets are $15 and you can buy them here.

Previous casts have included best-selling authors Kristin Armstrong and Jenny Lawson, as well as award-winning copywriters, poets and bloggers…who also happen to be mothers, sisters, daughters, sons, or aunts. Contributing writer to Do512 Family, Ava Love Hanna, was selected and performed in the 2013 show. This year’s cast is also unequivocally talented and the tales they share will take the audience on a poignant, hilarious, and lovely journey on the roller coaster ride of motherhood.

The 2014 cast includes Margaret Smith, Sarah Dille, Carol Ramsey, Ginger Gannaway, Virginia Woodruff, Jami Bonyun, Kim Borchert, Shelley Guerra, Jenn Larson, Meredith McGee, Sharon Laidlaw-Almaguer, Cassidy Santiguida, Chris Strickling, Robyn Jackson, and Leyna Williams.
