Currently, visitors can enjoy free admission through January 3, 2016 for Mix ‘n’ Mash —  a group exhibition and art sale featuring original works of art created by local, national, and international artists. The theme for the sale is the Austin Lotería card game. (Lotería, a game of chance similar to Bingo, is played with a set of 54 images printed on a deck of cards.)

The additional exhibit on display through January 3 is Nacimientos: Traditional Nativity Scenes from Mexico. The exhibition features a rich tradition of handmade Nacimientos from the Museum’s permanent collection and loans from Edwin R. Jordan; many of the nativity scenes depict a reflection of Mexico’s landscape, such as cacti, turkeys, and market scenes.

The museum also has an impressive little gift shop where you can find some beautiful handmade items from Mexico.
