Dude! One of the most quotable movies from the 80s is totally playing downtown on Thursday, Apr. 10. Kicking off the 2014 season of movies in the park, it’s Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Righteous.
Movies in the Park is a series of free summer movies in Republic Square Park, presented by the Austin Parks Foundation and the Alamo Drafthouse. Dogs, picnics, blankets and lawn chairs are all welcome (alcoholic beverages, glass and styrofoam containers are not). The movie starts at 8:30 pm.
Republic Square Park is at the corner of 5th and Guadalupe St. Consider biking or using public transportation to get to Republic Square Park, as parking is limited downtown. The city now has a user-friendly bike website and as always you can check with CapMetro about buses. Routes 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 17, 21, and 22 all drop off within three blocks of the park.
Be excellent to each other.
