Get your little dragons ready for a fun and FREE movie night under the stars. Austin Parks Foundation continues its Movies in The Park series with How to Train Your Dragon at Patterson Park on Thursday, June 21st!
The movie will begin at dusk, around 8:45 pm, but arrive early to pick a spot on the lawn and take advantage of delicious food from local trucks like Garbo’s Lobster Truck ATX, Connor’s Creamery and Noble Sandwich Co. You’re also more than welcome to pack your own picnic to enjoy! Dogs and lawn chairs are allowed, but alcoholic beverages, glass, and styrofoam are not permitted in the park. Recycling bins will be on the grounds but the Austin Parks Foundation asks attendees to pack out their own trash – it’s such a great help and an easy thing to do to show your love for Austin parks!
If you’ve never been to Patterson Park, you’re missing out. Featuring a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and a free city pool, it’s nestled in the Cherrywood neighborhood right across from Mueller Lake Park. Spend a whole day in these neighborhoods with eats from Cherrywood Coffeehouse or any of the great spots on Manor Rd., or get some ice cream at Lick and toy away at the Thinkery in Mueller.
Movies in The Park is a series of FREE films brought to you by the Austin Parks Foundation in partnership with Alamo Drafthouse. Check out the full lineup featuring 10 Things I Hate About You, Beauty and The Beast, Practical Magic, and more.
We’ll see ya on the lawn!
