On Thursday, March 15, you can take the kids to rock out for a great cause at the 6th Annual MyMusicRx + YOU WHO! Rock Show for Kids at The FADER FORT. From 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., you’ll find an awesome lineup of bands and lots of activities for the family. This event is something we look forward to during every SXSW, not only for the music, but because it benefits MyMusicRx, the flagship program of the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA).
MyMusicRx delivers the healing power of music to hospitalized kids across the country. This program has served more than 180,000 children along with their families, caregivers, and medical professionals through a local in-hospital concert partnership with Dell Children’s Medical Center. In 2018, MyMusicRx will also launch its bedside service at St. David’s Children’s Hospital. Proceeds from ticket sales will support these local programs. 
–> Music & Activities: This special family show features performances by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lucy Dacus, Kyle Craft, U.S. Girls and Red Yarn. There’s also breakfast tacos, giant owl mascots, raffle prizes, and a special art guitar craft zone powered by Epiphone.

Tickets are available online at joyrx.org/rockshow and cost $25/adults for advanced purchase or $30/day-of show. Kids 10 and under are FREE but do require a $0 ticket. A VIP family 4-pack is available for $125 and includes complimentary breakfast tacos, concert t-shirts, raffle tickets and a special swag bag filled with sponsor gifts. Advance tickets are highly recommended. This show will sell out!

The FADER FORT has a new location this year at is an outdoor venue located at 1501 East 7th Street, Austin, TX 78702. Note this is an outdoor venue, and blankets and festival chairs are welcome. Note that tickets purchased for this show do not admit access to other FADER FORT activities.
