Post 76 Concert Series at the Charles Johnson House

Thursday, Aug. 21 at 7 pm – bring a blanket and a picnic to the historic Charles Johnson House for the Post 76 Concert Series. This week features the music of Susan Torres y Conjunto Clemencia.

American Legion Post 76, also known as the Charles Johnson House, is a beautiful pre-Civil War house located just off Lake Austin Blvd and Mopac. The Post-76 Concert Series, held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, raises money for local musicians, the preservation of the beautiful Charles Johnson House and veteran’s support organizations. Tickets are $5 and children 14 and under are free. Each concert features a local food vendors and members of the Austin Art Flea will be on hand to sell their wares as well.

Susan Torres y Conjunto Clemencia showcases the music of South Texas Polkas, rancheras, huapangos, cumbias and boleros mixed with some jazz, salsa, blues and more. Perfect picnic music for kids who like to dance.
