Ooooooh, Halloween is just around the corner, and that means it’s an especially great time for scary ghost stories! On Friday, Oct. 3, you can take the big kids (ages 8 and up) to McKinney Falls State Park for Scary Campfire Stories from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

You can gather around for the timeless activity of listening to spooky stories around a toasty campfire. Bring a blanket or chair. And feel free to bring your own roasting sticks and s’mores supplies!

There is no fee for participating in the campfire story session, but park entrance fees do apply.

Park fees:

  • Adults: $6 for a one-day admission
  • Children 12 and under: FREE for one-day admission
  • Campsites: $20 nightly, which you can reserve online here

McKinney Falls State Park is open daily from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Enjoy! (And be brave!)
