Where to Play in the Snow Around Austin

Christmas Dreams & Snowy Things @ CHASCO Family YMCA in Round Rock
Saturday, December 9, 10 am – 4 pm
Join in the fun of the 9th Annual Christmas Dreams & Snowy Things event presented by the Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships and CHASCO Family YMCA! This free community event has over 50,000 lbs. of real snow, snow tubing, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, carnival rides, bounce houses, games, interactive holiday booths, food, music, and more! Santa and Mrs Claus will be on hand for you to tell them what you wish for this holiday season!  Stop by the “Maxwell Miracle Tree” to drop off a donation of coats, toys, shoes, etc. that will be distributed to our families in need during this holiday season. (new items only please).  There is no parking on-site – please check here for parking suggestions.

Christmas Fair @ Downtown Hutto
Saturday, December 9,  10 am – 4 pm
Hutto’s small-town charm comes to life with over 60 vendors set up throughout Downtown. Artisan, craft, and food vendors will line the streets, plus live entertainment throughout the day from various cultures and traditions. Kids can enjoy various activities, including photos with Santa, train rides, and even real snow! Participating stores and restaurants within Historic Downtown Hutto will also open their doors and offer Christmas Fair specials all day. Free parking is available Downtown, as well as within the Hutto Co-Op District and at Hutto City Hall (located at 500 W. Live Oak St.).

Snow Day @ Science Mill
Save the date for Science Mill’s Annual Snow Day! The outdoor Science & Art Park will transform into a winter wonderland with 35 tons of snow. All activities are free with regular admission. Visitors should bring mittens or gloves to keep their hands warm while playing in the snow.
