On Sunday, Jan. 25, you can enjoy the beauty of the big Texas sky on a Star Gazing and Moonlight Tour at the Wild Basin Wildnerness Preserve from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Members of the Austin Astronomical Society share telescopes with you for viewing during the astronomy tour.
— Cost & Registration:
These tours require reservations (and fill up fast). Reserve your spot by calling (512) 327-7622. Cost is $5 per adult and $3 for seniors & students in grades K-12. Preschool children are free and must be accompanied by a parent.
— What to Bring:
It is suggested that you bring drinking water, a small flashlight, binoculars (if you have them), good walking shoes and perhaps something small to sit on while at the Overlook. Please do not leave your valuables in your vehicle.
