Boys & Girls Club’s Day for Kids
Children’s Day Art Park
For a whopping 50 cents per child families can expereince local musicians, storytellers, dancers, magicians, mimes and craftspeople. Kids can try their hands at art projects under the Art Tent, experience Ballet Folklorico and Latin Jazz, talk to members of the symphony, and hear them play their instruments.

Come celebrate the Art Garage's 3rd Birthday this Sunday, June 1 from 2 PM - 5 PM. The Art Garage is a walk-in studio where you can stop by anytime and choose from thousands of art projects.
Red Poppy Festival in Georgetown
The Red Poppy Festival kicks off Friday, Apr. 25 in Historic Georgetown and continues through Sunday, Apr. 27. The whole family can enjoy arts, crafts, a parade, a car show, a kids area, food, music and more, and admission is FREE!
Eeyore’s 51st Birthday Celebration
If the slogan "Keep Austin Weird" had its own festival, Eeyore's Birthday would be it. Get weird at Pease Park on Saturday, Apr. 26 from 11 am until dark, the children's area will be open from 11 am - 4 pm and live music from noon - 6 pm. Admission is FREE! Dress code will be Austin-formal: tutus, bikinis, fairy wings and flip flops. Costumes are encouraged and there will be a contest. Props: hula hoops, bubbles and flower garlands.
The Renegade Craft Fair
Plan to check out the Renegade Craft Fair: SXSW Edition Thursday, Mar. 13 through Sunday, Mar. 15 from 12 – 8 pm at the Palmer Events Center. Browse the crafts of more than 200 makers, enjoy music, food, drinks and more! Entry is free, but requires a guest pass available from SXSW or at the event.

On Saturday. March 8, pause before Southby completely takes over to enjoy some art and culture at The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria: Family Saturday. From 11 am – 3 pm, families are welcome to partake in hands-on art-making workshops inspired by the museum's current exhibitions.
Black History Month at the Carver Presents: Curlilocks and the Three Pink Pandas
Saturday, Feb. 15 from 1 pm to 3 pm, bring the whole family out to enjoy a reading, book-signing and crafting event! Local author, Yolanda King, will read her debut children's book, Curlilocks and the Three Pink Pandas, followed by an awesome butterfly craft that all the children will enjoy.
Afternoon in the Garden: Nature Journaling
On Sunday, August 18 from 12 - 4 pm, bring the family down to Zilker Botanical Gardens for Afternoon in the Garden: Nature Journaling. For the Garden entry fee of just $2 per adult, $1 for children 3 - 12 and seniors, kids can wander through the gardens, observe what they see and then document it all in a nature journal.
