Blues on the Green is a very popular event that thousands of people attend, and the whole process can be daunting. As a parent, it’s really easy to talk yourself out of going. Children’s Day Art Park continues with Sara Hickman and the Annual Teddy Bear Picnic on Wednesday, June 25 from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Symphony Square Amphitheatre.
The Hill Country Galleria will host its annual Independence Day Festival on Saturday, June 28 from 4 pm – midnight. Celebrate America with music, food, arts and crafts vendors, rides ,games, fireworks and more. Free admission and free parking!

The Cedar Park Rodeo returns to the Cedar Park Center Friday – Sunday June 20 – 22. There will be two days of professional rodeo action on June 20 – 21, and the weekend will finish out with the Professional Bull Riders Touring (PBR) Pro Division on June 22.
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will be hosting Nature Nights every Thursday from 5 – 8 pm (except July 3) until July 24. Nature Nights are fun and interactive explorations of nature at one of the most lovely and kid-friendly places in the city. This program is great fun and makes for an awesome learning experience for kids of all ages. This week celebrates Fossils!
Bring the entire family out to The Domain on Saturday, June 21, from 11 am – 4 pm to experience Taste of North Austin. The 7th annual FREE event features live music, children’s entertainment including face painting, caricature drawings and balloon twisting, prize giveaways, and more! Sample a delicious array of food from North Austin’s favorite restaurants.

ATX Music and the Austin Public Library have teamed up to bring us free music in the library all summer long. Music For Kids features local kid-friendly musicians who will perform at various library branches throughout the summer. Musicians include Neal Kassanoff, Gina Chavez, Walter Tragert and Lucas Miller.
TODAY, Thursday, June 12 from 1:30 – 3 pm, make plans to be at Zilker Botanical Garden for a special appearance from ERTH’s Dinosaur Zoo. Their very own T-Rex will be at the garden to interact with kids and give you a taste of their upcoming show that will be at the Long Center June 17 – 22.
