The Woodland Faerie Trail at Zilker Botanical Gardens features faerie homes and gardens created by gardeners, architects and others. Their creations are now on display through May 26, and Friday, Mar. 14, you can see them at night at the Faeries by Starlight event from 7 – 9 pm.
Last week, we told you about the Rock Show For Kids going down at the Fader Fort Thursday, Mar. 13 from 10 am – noon with music from Typhoon, Aloe Blacc, The Bots, Les Claypool and more. Guess what? We have 4 VIP tickets to give away to the show!
This year’s SXSW Eco Light Garden in Republic Square Garden is another great reason to take advantage of no school nights and to get out and enjoy SXSW for free and family-style. The park lights up nightly through March 15. When the sun goes down, Republic Square Park is transformed into a dreamy space that, plays with light and sound and geometry.

If you have a teenager who is interested in music and/or the music biz, RSVP them for The Spotify Studio Unofficial Workshop happening at the Spotify House Saturday, Mar. 8 from 11 am – 2 pm. Ages 13 – 18 are invited to learn to DJ, hone songwriting skills, design a logo for their band and hear about careers in the music industry.
