And this weekend, historic Bastrop is hosting the SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Cup, a whole weekend of water races and activities from Friday August 15 to Sunday August 17.
Circus Chickendog – the family-friendly circus that keeps it weird – will be appearing in The Wizard of Dogz this week and next at the Institution Theater. Enjoy this doggy adaptation of The Wizard of Oz at 3 pm Aug. 11 – 15 and Aug. 18 – 22. The show is suitable for kids of all ages – yes, even toddlers. Tickets are $12 each.
Turn your home and garden dreams into a reality and attend the 19th Annual Austin Home and Garden Show, taking place at the Austin Convention Center from Friday, Aug. 15 – Sunday, Aug. 17. You’ll find tons of exhibits in everything from decks, pools, spas, plants, landscape displays and materials, kitchenware and much more, and the kids will have plenty to do in the Kid’s Zone (plus, kids are FREE)!
Hear ye! Hear ye! Directly from Austin’s own Renaissance Festival, the Sherwood Forest Faire, comes Robin Hood and his merry band of outlaws! The Legends of Robin Hood will be stirring up mischief at the Scottish Rite Theater from Aug. 16 – 24.
