The free day of music, shopping, food, fun and philanthropy is a joint venture presented byThe 2ND Street District, Austin Monthly, BMW of Austin and the Darrell K Royal Research Fund for Alzheimer’s Disease.
Pay homage to our furry little flying friends in true Austin style at the 9th Annual Austin Batfest on Saturday, August 23 starting at 4 pm at the Congress Avenue Bridge. Enjoy music from 10 bands on two stages, great food & drink, vendors, a bat costume contest and activities. Oh, and don’t forget to see the 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats take flight over Town Lake at dusk! Tickets $7 at the gate, kids 10 and under free. VIP passes available for $56 in advance.
