Tinkergarten: Outdoor Classes for Young Children

The world is our classroom! This certainly is true for young children exploring nature and the outdoors. Little ones & can now enjoy educational, fun classes in the healthiest classroom of all — the outdoors — through Tinkergarten® classes. Tinkergarten offers activity-based classes for ages 18 months – 5 years old in several park locations around Austin.

Tinker BuildingTinkergarten is not a typical kids’ class. Families can explore, discover, move and create together—all outdoors! Kids get the chance to wonder, play and solve problems using their minds, spirits and bodies plus all that mother nature has to offer.

They share ideas with educational frameworks like Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia, but their curriculum adapts to regions and seasons, is age appropriate and spans a broad range of skills. At the heart of every Tinkergarten class are activities that have been developed, tested and honed by a team of experts. Activities progressively build week after week, season after season.  Click here to browse sample activities.
